Hello and welcome to Studio Katia January 2020 Release Blog Hop!

This release includes 5 New Clear Stamp Sets and 3 Sets of Coordinating Dies, 8 New Stand Alone Creative Dies, 4 New Stencils, 5 New Glitter Jars and 12 New Embellishments, as well as New Clear Acetate Sheets!
You should have arrived from the talented Galina Filippenko's blog.

I have a floral card for you using the GORGEOUS Peony Trimmings Stamp and die set.
I started by creating a cardbase using WPlus 9 Oatmeal cardstock. I then cut a white panel and applied distress inks in worn lipstick, barn door, aged mahogany and seedless preserves using Studio Katia blender brushes. I die-cut the panel using the new Scallop Honeycomb cover die but decided to have straight edges, so I trimmed the scallops. I really like the dotted detail though.

I stamped the peony trimming stamp to neenah white cardstock and colored in using copic markers. I trimmed it using the die and colored the edges using one of the copic marker.

Now, I die-cut the word Crafty using white scrap paper and heat embossed it using WOW! metallic gold rich embossing powder.

I stamped the sentiment Hugs to the panel. Adhered the panel to the cardbase. Adhered the peony trimmings. To finish, I adhered a few of the new Gold Fever Confetti. Oh!! You must check out the new Embellishment Want. It's a MUST have as it makes picking and adhering the embellishments so so easy :)

I have 5 cards for you using various products and techniques. It's gonna be a long post so grab your favourite drink and hop on :)
For my first card, I used the Tartan stamp set to create my own background paper. I then die-cut a doily using the Delicate Mandala and adhered it to the card. I added a wash of blue watercolor. For the focal point, I used the Retro Plantines leaves, stamp them in black and sprinkle a touch of Antique Gold embossing powder. Love the effect.
The sentiment is from the Watercolor Halftone stamp set. Another of the new release stamp set.

Here is a close-up to see the pretty graphic leaves.

For my 2nd. card, I used the Incredible stamps and dies. I stamped the florals using clear embossing ink and then embossed it using the Fluorescent Green embossing powder. I then sponged some inks to this panel. The embossing powder will resist the ink, so we have a beautiful panel with green embossing. I then flicked some water and black paint to it.

Now, I stamped and embossed a few flowers onto vellum, die-cut them and adhered them to my panel. Stamp the sentiment to a stripe and adhere to the card.

For the 3rd. card, I used the Watercolor Halftone stamps and dies. This stamp has GORGEOUS floral clusters. I stamped the flowers using Pure Graphite ink. Now for this technique I used my Misti as any kind of stamping tool will be good as we are going to stamp multiple times. I stamped the leaves using using Moss and Bamboo inks for the shaded look. I then applied watercolor to the flowers and die-cut the clusters.

I made this into a tall card, so for the base, I applied some Mango smoothie ink through the Tree Ring stencil. Stamped the sentiment, flicked some inks and then arranged the floral clusters.

I love this stamp so much, that I decided to create a more colorful cluster. I love pop of colors on black so here it is:

I stamped a stripe from the Tartan stamp onto black cardstock using Hero Arts Unicorn white ink. U then stamped and embossed the sentiment. I used my Misti stamping tool to stamp this colorful floral cluster using various shades of yellow, pink, orange and greens. I will write down the colors of ink below in the description.

For my last card, I used the Tartan stamp to create my background. I stamped it using the Desert Night ink onto a blue cardstock. I then sponged some ink to the edges to the panel.
I then stamped the outer most layer using clear ink and embossed the image using Antique Gold embossing powder. I then stamped the flower layers using Pink Diamond, Pinkalicious, Rubellite ink. I used Olive ink for the leaves.

I added flicks of gold paint and assembled this card.

Studio Katia: CAS Thanks Card

Hello everyone! Today I am sharing a pretty pastel floral thank you card. I always need thank you cards so it's a good idea to keep up my collection. What kind of cards do you tend to make the most?

I started by creating a square white cardbase. Now, I took a white layer and sponged tumbled glass distress oxide using the blending brushes to it. Die-cut this piece using the Dotted Nested Square die. I then die-cut the oval using the Elegant Scallop Oval die. I flicked some white paint to this piece and let dry. I adhered this layer to the cardbase. Now, I stamped the sentiment using clear ink and em,bossed it using Vintage Peacock embossing powder by WOW! I stamped and embossed the tiny floral using white embossing powder onto vellum. Color the flowers using copic markers. I always add the touch of color to the back side of my vellum flowers. Adhere the flowers to form a triangle to emphasize onto the sentiment.

To finish, I added some Icy Sparkle Crystals to the flower centers.. Thank you for dropping by! Have
