Stretch Your Stamps Day 8 part 2

So, I am back again to share another card I made for the Online class: Stretch Your Stamps Day 8, using the same label stamp...I used the Flags and Tags stamp and die set from Lil' Inker Designs...Love this set.

I used the colors from the challenge at the Paper Smooches Sparks challenge blog and the sketch is from Retro Sketches #20  (I just flipped it upside down)
This also goes to the Moxie Fab Stamp it week challenge

Here is how my card looks:

Thats not all, I created a window with the label die on my card which looks like this, when opened:

Stamps: Paper Smooches (My Peeps) Lil'Inker Designs (Flags and Tags Stamps and Dies set)
Ink: Memento Black
Copics

 Isnt it cute ;)

Stretch Your Stamps: Day 8 (card 1)

I know, I am way behind...its already day 11 of the Online class Stretch your Stamps and I have not yet made a single cards...well its Summer break and kids are home, so not much time to craft. Anyway, something is better than nothing. I made my card for the Day 8, which is to use labels.

I used the colors from Paper Smooches Sparks Challenge (Its been a while, since I last played there)
This also is perfect for the challenge at Moxie Fab Stamp it week (Thanks You)

For my card I stamped the label, then masked it. Then I stamped the Paper Smooches background stamp, leaving some white strips of plain white.

Stamps: Paper Smooches (Debonair, Sentiment Sampler) Lil'Inker Designs (Flags and Tags stamp and Dies); Inks: Jenny Bowlin ( Spice Tin, Lemon Drops) Hero Arts (Soft pool shadow Ink)

Day 8 card 2 coming soon. Hope you like my creation. Thanks for dropping by.

Some exciting news

Hello everyone!
Today, I want to share some super exciting news with you all, which I've been wanting to share since I got to know about it myself. It was SO difficult to keep it within. I'm so very honored and thrilled to be part of the new Lil' Inker Designs Color Team. Thanks Laura, for the wonderful chance to be working among all the talented ladies! :)

For the announcement, go over to the Lil' Inker Designs Blog to meet the new team!

Laura has put together a special assignment team to promote the 2 Cute Ink stamps. We'll be releasing 3 new sets soon, which are adorable and soooo cute!! But that's not all: there will also be a brand new stamp line with a new illustrator and you're going to love them too!
Head over to see the current sets in the Lil' Inker Designs shop.
For lots of inspiration, visit the Lil' Inker Designs Blog, the Facebook page and the flickr gallery!

Now, for all my supportive friends and followers, I think you ROCK! All your comments and kind words keeps me motivating and inspires me to keep creating. So, here's something for you all!
I created a set of cards *fur* you, keeping the same stamp and layout, but all images are colored using various mediums.I used similar colors to color so you can see the difference between each medium.

I used watercolor pencils and Distress Inks + Perfect Pearl on the flowers.

Colored this image using Prismacolor pencils and blended with odorless mineral spirit.

 This is colored using Copics.

Isn't this little kitty cute? I must also tell you that it's a great quality clear stamp which gives a crisp, clear impression. The first two Pattern papers are from Basic Grey (Indie Bloom) and the third from My Mind's Eye (On the Bright Side)

Thanks for being here to celebrate my happy news!!!:)

PS. I have a challenge at Yvonne's blog - you can win a 15 $ gift coupon for the Lil' Inker Shop too.

Guest Designing and A Challenge

I am so excited while sharing this post with you all today. When Yvonne from Do More With Less invited me over to guest design at her blog, I was like...Whaaat??? Me :) but as soon as the initial excitement settled down, lots of ideas came knocking at my door, which really confused me...lol. Finally, I decided on sharing a small tutorial along with how and what got me inspired??

As you may know, or maybe not, I am living in Switzerland and the things associated with Switzerland, which come to my mind immediately are, of course, Chocolates, Cheese and not to forget the Swiss Alps....Hmmm!!! I got inspired by the Alps on this Yogurt box :)

My card looks like this:

Would you like to know how I created the background??? I have put together a small step by step tutorial on how to create a background scene for you all along with an interesting challenge...

Step 1: Mask the grass area.

Step 2: Color with Distress Ink

Step 3: Cover the grass area and the sky (the unmasked part will be the mountains)

Step 4: Distress the mountains

Step 5: Cover mountain and grass area.

Step 6: Color the sky

This is my first tutorial so please go easy on me :)

I am submitting this card for the following challenges:
Moxie Fab Stamp It week challenge
SirStampalot challenge: Whats your crafty passion: Creating backgrounds with distress inks is one of mine

So head on over at Yvonne's blog for the challenge, I will be giving the winner a 15$ Gift Certificate to the Lil Inker Designs Shop too. And while at the blog, you will find that she is an incredibly talented artist with a fabulous style of creating with colors, mists, textures etc...
Huge thanks Yvonne for this honor.

See you all soon with more exciting news ;)

Scraphouse July Challenge

It's 1st. of July, which means a new monthly challenge at the Scraphouse Inspiration Blog. This month we have a color theme:
Blue and White, so you need to use only blue in your creations. Here is what I created:

I used the Penny Black stamp set and used the distress resist technique. Colored in the flowers over the resist background using the same shades of blur distress inks. I used some pearly spritz for the lovely and delicate shine which is difficult to capture in a photo.

To finish some blings and Stardust stickles. All the supplies are available at the Scraphouse shop.

I am submitting this card for the Stamp It challenge at Moxie Fab World: Thank you and
Penny Black at all Sorts : Summer Blooms

Thanks for dropping by.
