August CCC

I made this card for Rikke as part of Deborahs CCC challenge. I did a lot of distressing, masking, layering...actually enjoyed myself a lot making this card. Its all Sir Tim Holtz inspired so I goess its perfect for the challenge at Simon Says...

Anything Tim Holtz inspired......

I made this card for for 2 Challenges. At Simon Says Stamp and Show the challenge this week is  "Anything Tim Holtz inspired".As you know by now, I love distressing and getting my fingers inky, so couldn't stop myself...lol.
I got the idea from the Inchie challenge at Embellish mag. blog

I made the Center Inchie panel first. Embossed the wild grass with black ep. on watercolor paper and distressed it with some peeled paint and Dusty concord Distress inks, spritz the perfect pearl water. Now adhered the edged inchies, keeping the center one in 3D. Then for the corner triangles, clear embossed the same stamp but making sure my grass points towards center. I then distressed using the same colors and cut my inchies and edged. Adhered them all in the corners. Did some faux stitching around my center panel, put some glossy accent on the butterflies. To look at the shine, here is the closeup.
Hope you enjoyed the process as much as I did making it.

Back to school....

At Heroarts the theme is Back to school and since my younger one started her Class 1(which is the Official School beginning in Switzerland), I sort of remembered my school days and started with this project inspired by all the new things we bought for my daughter. So here is the inspirational pic.
Here are the things what I made:
So here I made a Bag, an Etui, Notes file cover, post it cover, some pencil color, Eraser, Ruler, Notes paper etc.Talking about colors, well I became like a kid while making this and my favorite color till I was 20 use to be baby pink and this soft blue...lol.
I found the Tutorial for the bag here

3 Views of the Bag. Since it has polka dots, its perfect for the challenge at apassion...

My Etui( Pencil pouch), with some color pencils. When the colors are taken out, they work as bookmarks too.

Inside of the notebook cover are some notes paper and a must have Ruler, love the way it turned out. For the Ruler I stamped it with Antique linen distress ink.
Lastly my Post-it pad cover, which I use a lot.

Hope you enjoyed this project as much as I did making it. Dont forget to leave your sweet comments.

PDCC#43

I have so many things to show you but its getting late, my other project is a big one so will try to post it later....I made this card for the current PDCC challenge.
Here is what I made:

I embossed this flower with white ep. Distressed using some Tumbled glass, Broken china and Faded Jeans distress inks. Spritz some pearl water, made some cute between the petals and curled them a bit. For the window, cut some pattern paper, stamped it with HA Earth flowers stamp, adhered the paper to an embossed white Card. For the finishing touches, made the faux stitching. Adhered the flower and my cute sentiment with 3D foam pad.

Cupcakes...mmm

So a bit of fresh air after 2 hectic weeks( my younger one started school), I know...I know, it should be hectic for her but it was so tiring for me mentally. Anyhow made these 2 cards for some relaxation cos next 2 weeks are busy too. I am volunteering for my village festival ;)
Now the first card is based on this sketch at SRM challenge blog. It is also perfect for the theme, Jenny's has at weeMemories....check it out
 My take
I used some stickers given to me by my friends Kathy and Agata...thaks girls, cos of you I could participate in the challenge. I used some pps for the background, put the center cupcake on a lovely shimmery textured paper. Wrote b'day freehand to go with this lovely bold HAPPY sticker. For the cherries, used some buttens, made crochet stem n leaves, colored it with felt tip pen and assemled everything together.Did some machine stitching to give the finised look. I hope the closeup can explain my textured paper n leaves better.

My second card is also for Jenney's challenge, cos it is perfect for B'day n sweet tooth ;)

Hope you enjoyed the cards. Dont forget to leave your sweet comments:)

Things to share....

Hello friends, I want to share my happiness first. My card was in top 5 at CAS-tastic :)
It just made my day. Thanks all the DTs for giving me such happiness.
Now I have in my garden these beautiful big flowers of Lily and the fragrance is just amazing.

Now onto my todays creation. I made this card for my niece. I did the green grass effect with Florish design block. Stamped, distressed, embossed and love the look of torn paper. Now these animals are from Heroarts stamp set. I really adore it. Why I used animals....well my niece(5yr) was here and we went to the Zoo. She just enjoyed all the animals there and I thought, she would remember me more 'cos we had so much fun seeing them...lol.

Are'nt they cute???

Now the next card is for the August gallery challenge. I had to use Ribbon, button etc. Just stamped the image on Kraft paper, distressed the edges. Colored it with my pencil colors. Put some blings, adhered it with 3D foam to Red paper. Put some buttons, ribbon and adhered everything to a Cream Card.

Hope you like my card. Please leave your sweet comments...love reading them.

Friends forever...

My childhood friend has her B'day in September and I want to send her a handmade card for the first time...lol. So here is what I made for her. Now The inspiration came from Here and since its a friends card, I am posting it at apassionfor...
Now, I always love Jenny's fun card and she has a new challenge here, which is to use butterflies. I am happy, since my card is perfect for her challenge too. The fun colors (love them), which I picked are from this Challenge card by Agata, that means I CASED her card I think :)
Here is the inspirational photo:
My take on it:
(Ink: Ranger distress ink, PTI  Paper: PTI Stamps Heroarts Embossing powder:Ranger)

I first made the butterflies and colored them, then brushed some perfect pearl mixed with water. Love love this product. Edged the Circle with Tumbled glass distressed ink and used 3D foam to stick it onto brown. I then stamped and clear embossed florishes background stamp on my brown paper. Embossed Friends forever with white ep. Colored inside friends with my color pencils. I then distressed a white card with spiced marmalade distress ink, so it matches my butterfly. Hope you enjoy my creation. TFL.

She sells Sea Shells

I got some time today to make a card today after few days of no stamping. Too many things to take care of, as the schools reopen on Monday. I am quite happy thou as my little one will be going to Class 1. I feel like a proud mom and to me she looks so young, anyway she is the youngest in her class.
I think, I shouldn't  take more of your time and come to the point. My card was inspired from this Tuesday trigger photo at Moxie fab. I made the card for a friend of mine as she has bad back cos of an accident. So its perfect for the theme (keeping in touch) at Hero arts. Since its for a very good friend and the theme at Papertrey is the same, my card goes there too.

Here is my take on it:

I had fun making this card. Stamped the dots and flowers stamp and then reverse masked the bottle area to put some Milled lavender distress ink and misted with perfect pearl. Made the Cap with a shell stamp using gold ep. and distressed with Antique distress ink. Made the bracelet chain with hand and embossed again with gold ep. For the small shells, embossed them on vellum and put some white  beads with Diamond Stickles, in the center of my flower. It has such a lovely pearly shine.
Inks: Ranger, papertrey Paper: Papertrey Embossing powder Ranger
TFL and please leave your sweet comments, if you like my card.

Christmas Candle

It was all about Christmas in July for last 2-3 weeks and since the challenge at CAS-tastic is to use glitter n shine, I tried my hand at this candle. I am not sure if it counts for the challenge, since its not a card. I took a simple pattern, so it can be a CAS candle :) Stamped my tree on a tissue, adhered the tissue on the Candle using heat gun. Then have put some stickles.
I hope you like it.

Rainbow colors...

Today we have a perfect day for this card...its raining and once we could see a bit of sunshine and I was hoping for the Rainbow, to show it to my younger one. Well unfortunately, there was no rainbow but since I promised her, came up with this idea.
I used the sketch from Get sketchy, some bling n shine, so its perfect for CAS-tastic and since its clean n graphic, it goes at Moxie fab too.
My take:
I first embossed my dots and flower stamp with white ep. Now did lots of masking and distressing to give this rainbow panel. After distressing I spritz it with some pearlized water and it has lovely sheen to it. Then I stamped my sentiment, cut the words, edged with pumice stone Distressed ink and adhered it to my card, except Laughter cos have used some 3D foam to make it a bit apart. Then I adhered this on white card with some 3D foam pads. I hope it makes sense in the closeup.

I wish you enjoyed it. I will post a better photo when the weather is a bit better here.

Another circle card

I made this card and it kind of looks cute to me. I am posting it for the fun n cute at Moxie fab style challenge. Thou I dont know what my style is yet but I like making more of fun, CAS cards, which are sometimes elegant too( thats what my friends tell me). I was hoping I would try the shabby but didnt get the time to do it.
