Coloring on Kraft

I think, I am in coloring mood now, perhaps there are many many commitments till the 9th. and coloring kind of soothes me. I see so many challenges calling my name but no time..lol. Anyhow I am enjoying coloring.
I used the lovely Lily flower from Tiffany Doodles stamps. I love lilies, have plenty in my garden and their divine perfume feels kind of heavenly to me. Inspiration photo from Jay Gee's Nook selected the color palette to use these yellows, oranges and greens. The theme of anything goes at Simply Scrapping Crafts was another motivation....I am submitting this card for the challenge at The Young Crafters Unite Blog too.

I could not take a very good photo but the close up is much better to give you an idea.

I printed the image on Kraft and colored using the pencil colors. The sentiment is from Hero Arts.
Don't forget to stop by tomorrow to have a look at my Guest DT project at TSB blog.
Thanks for dropping by.

Shabby Chic

I can hardly make Shabby Chic style of cards...thou I like them but its not what I usually make. Here I made ,a card for the Penny Black At All Sorts Blog. I used the corner folding technique, which I have been enjoying seeing at Jill's blog. Thanks Jill for the inspiration. Pls. click on the photo for a sharp view.
I really enjoyed getting inky. Lots of embossing, coloring, distressing, emboss resist...total fun and I am so happy with the result too. On that note emboss resist is the theme at Lily Pad Blog....take a dip in the pond...Oh!!! its too hot here and I could not Resist the Resist. Thats why I was so anxious to dip in;) This card started with all white card stock/base.

The perfect pearl and flower soft looks clear in the above photo.
I am also submitting it for the challenge at YCU Blog, since its all about coloring the stamped image. Lovely blog...check for yourself...you'll love it.
Thanks for stopping by. I will be back in a while with 2 more cards :)

Single layer Frame

I am so glad, I'm in time with this challenge at Lawnscaping...I had the card done but did not get time to take a photo of it. Anyhow, just a quick post before I leave to celebrate my hubby's Birthday.Love him so much:))

I like the Barn critters and the idea of putting them in a frame is always running thru my head. So to make it all happen in a single layer was tough but I am really happy to have achieved that and love the effect, it sure is like magic. Lots of masking, coloring and distressing and coloring is the theme at YCU Blog:)  I put some white flock on the Ewe and it gives a wonderful texture...lol

I am also submitting it for the challenge at Woodware USA as the challenge is to try a new technique. I tried to use chalks to color the background.

Thanks for dropping by. See ya tomorrow;)

Rainbow of Joy

Hello friends!!! Today I am feeling a bit better after that nasty Flu. So I could make a card for the lovely and my favorite challenges of the blog World.
I love Rainbows...they make me happy and that is a great idea Lucy is back with. I love embossing and I love white on white/white ep. on cream...looks so Elegant. That is what CAS-usal Friday challenge asks for"Embossing". I was thinking of trying sticky back Canvas and now that I have used it...love it, thanks to the challenge at Lily Pad Blog...use of fabric/felt.

For my card, I stamped these tiny Penny Black flowers on Canvas. Adhered Twine in spiral form for the center. For the flowers, I just put some glossy accent and sprinkled a little bit of glitter. Lovely effect. I then stitched 2 edges and distressed a bit. Pls. click on the photo for a crisp view.

I then adhered it to the cream paper which has been embossed with white embossing powder. To finish stamped the sentiment in brown and red, adhered 3 colors of bling, rounded a corner and adhered the whole piece to a Yellow card Base. I hope the close-ups shows the glitter, textures and embossing better.
Since I used Penny Black stamps, I am submitting it for the challenge at Penny Black All Sorts Blog.

Thanks for dropping by.

One Layer...

Hello Friends,
Today I want to share a card, which I made for the currant challenge at The Lawnscaping blog and Polka Doodle Challenge blog. I really enjoyed making my card with all the masking and coloring esp. on Kraft and I am submitting it to The Kraft Journal blog too.

I used so many different stamps to create my background. First I stamped the dress form and masked it. Then I masked the border of the card and then the rectangle/square shapes. After I finished the stamping, I distressed around the individual boxes.  I then colored the dress using prismacolors. I put a french knot in the bow, stitched some border and some random stitches to acquire the balance and for the texture. To finish I used distress inks to the card edges and stickles on the dress.

This was worth all the work as it looks really wonderful in real. TFL.

All White...with Colored Image

For the PDCC color challenge please click Here. I typed wrong URL...Sorry.

Don't I love that...all the white space in literal meaning, that's the card I am sharing with you all, which I made for the challenge at Simon Says.... I got sore throat and bit running nose along with headache...boy do I want to do anything...Of coarse not:)) So I decided to color this image to soothe my pains...lol. Trust me coloring is a soothing therapy.

I used a bit of stickles on the hair band and the belt, tied the floss and made a double bow. To finish I used this tiny sparkle button on the bow and that is the recipe for the challenge at Whiff of Joy Blog. I am happy with the result and actually like it. I sure will be making more of these style.TFL

Happy Birthday

I am a happy happy girl...today I could make two cards and both turned out how I had imagined.I have been thinking of using more digi stamps, so finally I got the push from the challenge at Simply Scrappingcrafts blog. Added bonus is Tiffany's digi stamps as prize...love them. I also love playing with the color challenge (use no less then 4 colors) at Wee Memories
I started my card on white base, made the sky and small hills using distress inks and masking technique. I then colored these cute images, colored them using copics. Now for the house windows I added some glossy accents and some white flock to the lamb...its a wonderful velvet texture. More visible in the closeup. I then adhered these 2 imgaes using 3d foam of different thickness. To finish stamped the sentiment and distressed the white strip. Tied some floss and a tiny bling to balance and bind everything together.

It look really cute to me. What do you guys think?? TFL

You Rock!!!

Today I am here to share this card, I made for my husband for his B'day. Its on 24th...I know I know...I still have plenty of time but my August is packed like crazy....lots of commitments. As soon as I saw the colors at The Play Date Cafe and Terri's wonderful sketch at Skipping stone (love their stamps- thou don't own any yet:) I had this picture in my mind and Oh am super glad cos the effect is exactly like I wanted. Talking about masculine card..well that's the theme at A Passion for Papertrey.

For my card I started with white card base. I gave a washed watercolor effect with distress inks (faded jeans, scattered straw, pumice stone), its a lovely effect. I then stamped the PTI stamp using these 3 colors together.

Distressed the edges and adhered this to the smokey shadow card base. To finish some hand stitching and a star eyelet.

Inspired by

I realized today that the list of my favorite challenge blogs is on rise...what can I say..love these blogs and the DT creations:) There is so much to learn. I am getting inspired by Vicky week after week but cos of kids holidays couldn't play with my stamps much. I made this card inspired by THIS card by Vicky (she's so so talented-Thanks Vicky) for the challenge at Lily Pad blog. I created the blue background which was quite an task but fun too with the Lawn Fawn Sew lovely set...Since the theme at Lawnscaping blog challenge is distressing and more than 4 colors at Wee Memories...I am submitting it there too.

I colored the dress form using distress inks in antique linen, spun sugar, spiced marmalade and barn door and walnut stain. The blue panel is broken china and faded jeans.
Supplies: Stamps (Lawn Fawn), Ranger distress inks, White embossing powder. Cardstock (PTI)
Thanks for dropping by.

Time to Celebrate

Since I had my glitters out and open and my brain filled with ideas and of course the satisfaction of creating something I liked...I made this last card for the CAS-ual Friday challenge. Colors are again from Market Street stamps. Glitter is also the theme for the challenge at Simply Scrappingcrafts Blog.

I used Glue strips again for the glitter. Glue dot for the glittery Hair Ornament, keeping the CAS style. I stamped the sentiment using 2 colors and like it...will use it more in the future.
Supplies: Stamps (Hero Arts), Glitter, Inks (Memento, colorbox), Glue strips
Thanks for leaving your love. Your comments really brightens my day and keeps me motivated.

Sweet Baby Girl

A friend of mine is going to have a baby in October and she doesnt want to know, weather its a girl or boy. I thought I will keep both the cards ready and since I just love girls...that was the first card I made:)
I made it all glittery as thats the challenge at CAS-ual friday blog. I used glue strips this time for the glitter. I also used SRM sticker sent to me by my friend Virginia. Thanks Virginia.

I went for the CAS card again but this one was a bit difficult to make. Fot the roof of the house, I used strips of glue tape without leaving any space between them and used 2 colors of glitter.I adhered the sticker on a glittery square and it gives wonderful effect, very pretty...but difficult to capture:)
Talking about glitter...thats the challenge at another blog I want to play at. Simply Scrappingcrafts
TFL.

Heartfelt Wishes

Yesterday was quite productive for me...Why is that??? Well the kids started school and there was tons of cleaning to do...not that I dont enjoy with my girls but I needed a break after giving full attention to them for last 5 weeks. Did I clean??? Oh no!!! I left all of it for today and just reached my crafting desk to play for my favorite challenge blog CAS-ual Friday. The challenge this week is Glitter and being a mom of two girls...I have developed kind of cute likeness towards it...lol.. I had these cards ready yesterday but couldnt take photo and was also finding it difficult to capture all the glittery effect. I chose the colors from Market Street challenge.

I kept my card totally CAS. Stamped the Starburst stamp using Distress ink spritzt with pearl water onto white card. For the center I used a large glue dot, put some glitter, stamped my sentiment. To finish added a layer of the matching cardstock. This card really looks so pretty in real...you have to take my word for it.
