Sending Card on Time

Hello Everyone!!! It's Wednesday and that is time for the new challenge at Hambo Hoedown Challenge blog. This time we challenge you to create a card and you have to incorporate "Bubbles"!!!

For my card, I used the Digi "Test Tubes" image. Now, I guess we all struggle to send a card on time :) So I find this sentiment just perfect :)

Here is my card:

Unfortunately, today is my last day as Hambo DT but you will be seeing me with their creations as I just love their stamp. I had fun time while on the team and met some nice and lovely ladies. Thanks you Monika and Judy and my team mates.
Hope you get time to play along with us at the Hoedown!!!

Iron Ctraft

A few months ago, Chaitali contacted me to ask if I'd be interested in her challenge she was starting based off the hit show:  Iron Chef.  I thought it was a great idea for a challenge!

We decided on using Paper Smooches set, Tri-balations, and paired it up with  inspiration photo that you can see HERE .

I went for a very CAS design using the trio of triangles from that set. Its fun to create patterns using them. I wanted to color in with copics but the pencil color gives a nice texture, specially for the hand drawn tribal look.
While creating my card, I couldn't stop myself and created another pattern.LOL

Here are my cards:

swimmingly bright

Now, it's time to visit the sweet Chaitali and see what she has made!  Thanks so much Chaitali for inviting me to be your Iron Craft Guest this week!  It was fun!!!

Hambo "Battle of The Bands"

Welcome to "The Battle of the Bands" sponsored by Hambo Stamps! Today Hambo friends and the Bacon Bits Design Team are bringing you fun creations that depict Band groups! It might be our favorite, or just one that was fun to design. If you arrived here from Deanne's Blog you are in the right place! If not, you might want to start back at the beginning at the Hambo blog to make sure you are eligible for the hopper prize!

I am not good with bands but when I searched for them, I found 2 which matched perfectly with the stamps I have :) So here I introduce my Band named "TORTOISE"

Here is my card using the Turtle Present and Get this Party Started rubber stamps.

Here is a link if you like to hear them:

I like the music of this song:

Now jam on over to Paula's Blog for another great Band group that will have you tappin' you foot!

Finally!!!! What a hop without fun prizes :)

A prize will be awarded to one participant whose comic strip-themed creation tickles the Bacon Bits’ fancy in a hammin’ jammin’ way!  Another prize will be awarded randomly to a hopper who comments on all of the blogs along the way. The winners will be announced on the Hambocompany blog, Talk to the Ham, on Wednesday, May 29, as well as at the Hambo Hoedown challenge blog. We love comments anytime, but the deadline for prize entry comments is Sunday, May 26 at 5 PM CST. Hello Everyone!!!!

I'm super excited to share this news with you all: I'm part of the Lil' Inker Designs Core Team!! :D Thanks, Laura! Alyssa is also joining the team with me. We are welcoming a new team member as well. She's is the very talented Taheerah!

Today, we're having a fun summer blog hop challenge. We have a bright and happy inspiration photo. You should have arrived here from Debby Hughes blog, if not than go to Laura's blog to start from the beginning.

Today I made a flip flop/swing card inspired by the colors, clouds and flip flops. I die cut the clouds and small sun die and used them as mask, inked the panel and stamped the sentiment. For the back panel, I inked to give the effect of sea shore. Inked the water, sand. Flicked some water for the Sea effect, and misted some gold shimmer on the sand. I die cut the flip flop, stamped the background using versamark ink and applied some perfect pearl powder. To finish I just put splatter all over. It's so much fun to create interactive cards.

The next stop on the hop is Jen Carter's blog. She has a wonderful creation to inspire you.

To participate all you have to do is to use the photo as an inspiration and create a project/card using Lil' Inker Designs goodies as a focal image. However, they do not have to be used exclusively. Upload your project to your blog along with the inspiration photo above and tell us how you were inspired to create your project.
Then, upload your project using a direct link to your post and the Linky Tool provided HERE and have FUN!!!
To be eligible to win our Grand Prize you must follow the criteria above. You have until Sunday, June 2nd at 11:30 p.m., EST to enter.

Happy for this Moment

Today is an official holiday here and the kids have no school tomorrow too.
So, when everyone was doing their own thing today, as it was raining non-stop. I also had some fun playing with Tim Holtz distress markers and water. I did some fun water-coloring...lol.

I love the theme over at Penny Black blog "For Family" and at Moxie Fab World "Wonder of Watercolor". So, I created something other than card. I created something for a wall frame and will put it on my daughter's room :), cos she wants it...lol

I stamped the Penny Black "Nature's Day" Stamp and colored it using distress markers and watercolors. I then doodled a bit in the background and watercolored the edges, Finally finished it with some fun splatters. Love love the happy feel. I did not have a perfect sentiment, so just wrote it by hand. Here is my creation before and after I framed.

Also submitting for the challenge at:
Simon says Stamps Blog: Things with Wings

Happy Crafting!!!

Celebrate!!

Here I am back again with another card. I have to post it today as we have a long weekend here and kids will be home for 4 days now. I do plan to create with them but sometimes we change our plans depending on the weather.

Anyhow, today I tried something new to me. Dylusions Sprays. I used some Penny black stamps and Distress markers. Love how it all came together, so you will be seeing some more creations from me like this.

Faber-Castell and Hero Arts

It's me again, sharing a card, which I created for the Faber-Castell Design Memory craft Guest design post. If you want to see the full tutorial, pls. go HERE.

I really like how this card came to life.

Linking it to the following challenges:

Moxie Fab World: Wonders of Watercolor
Annabelle Stamps: Anything Goes
Simonsaysstamp blog: Happy Mail (Thinking you cards can make anyone happy)

See you tomorrow!! Enjoy your weekend.

Thank You!!

Here I am again with another card to share. I like it when inspiration just comes and it gets easy to create what I like. I already had these colors on my desk from my other projects and love these all together. I used my Crafter's workshop mask, distress inks and water  for the background watercolor effect. It's a twist to how we normally use the templates. Love the effect.

Playing along the challenges at:

Moxie Fab World: Wonders of Watercolor
Annabelle Stamps: Anything Goes
Simon Says Stamp: Happy mail (I feel a thank you card gives an instant smile to the recipient)

I will share a few more cards soon!!!
Thanks for your sweet comments!!!

You're the Best! Mom

Hello Everyone!! Here I am sharing a card, I made for the current Play Date Cafe challenge. As soon as I saw the colors, I got this idea and finally, today I got the time to create.

Loooove this color splash and inspiration photo. I used micro fine black Glitter on the strips and the Heart but un-fortunately weather didn't permit me to take a great photo of it.
I wanted to highlight the word "MOM" so I masked the area before putting the splatters.

Playing along the challenge at:

The Play Date Cafe: Colors
V's sweet Challenge blog: Mother's day
7 or Less challenge: I used the following products:

  • purple Ink
  • Black Ink
  • White CS
  • Black Glitter
  • Mom Die

I used the Mom word die and Stamp by Lil'Inker Designs. It's a lovely and fun set. For me it's a perfect card for my Mom :)
See you in a while with another card.

Hambo: That's What You Are!!!

Caring, Considerate and The Best...... Hmmmm!!! sounds familiar. Well we all know someone who fits the qualities :)
Don't we wish to have some stamp to help us create a card for that special person. OK, so we have such a wonderful Digi Image "Word Search" by Hambo Stamp. You can play along the challenge at Hambo Hoedown and can win it too. The challenge this week is to choose one letter of the alphabet, then use 2 or 3 things that start with that letter. For example "B": brad, button, black: "T": twine, turtle, twisted easel card

I created this card for my elder daughter. Love her and am so proud on how she is turning into this wonderful young girl. She is 16 but much more mature than her age:) Love you Poorvi!!!
So, I chose letter "S" for my card. I used String, Saffron color and spray mist

Playing along with the challenge at:
Moxie Fab World: Wonders of Watercolor (I used distress ink to make my own mist. It gives a wonderful watercolor effect.)
7 or Less challenge: This is a fun challenge. I used cardstock (white), 1 digi stamp, Coloring medium (Distress ink: made my mist and inked the edges. I also used the same distress ink marker to mark my words, Twine)
