Pinkfresh Studio Technique Talk Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Pinkfresh Studio Technique Talk bloghop. Today, we are playing with techniques using the new release stamps. FUN!!!!

You should have come here from the talented Julia Stainton's blog.

For my card today, I used two techniques. First, stamping and embossing on vellum, then coloring it onto the back side. Second is partial die-cutting.

There is a story behind this card. Three weeks back my younger daughter had a foot operation so before they gave her anesthesia, the doctor told her to think of nice things to dream about once is asleep. Then he asked her, so what do you wanna dream about? Her reply, which totally wasn't what I was expecting...lol
Unicorns, rainbow and Hawaii.....Here I made a card for her using the AWESOME "Magical Unicorn stamp and the Magical Unicorn coordinating die" :)

Here are some steps on how I created this card:

I started with sponging Candied Apple, Picked Raspberry, Wild Honey, Peacock Feathers, Twisted Citron, Salty Ocean Distress Oxide inks and Wilted Violet distress ink onto the cardbase.
I then stamped and embossed the Unicorn horn onto a piece of white cardstock. Now I put the die onto it but didn't cut it fully, I left a small part uncut so the horn is still attached to my mat layer.

I then stamped and embossed the flower onto a piece of vellum and die-cut it. I stamped the leaves using green ink and then die-cut these as well.
I then used my copic markers to color in the flowers from the back side.
Then I stamped the eyes and the sentiment onto my mat layer.
Flick some water onto the rainbow panel. Let dry. Flick gold paint onto it.
Assemble everything together.

Here is a close-up pic for you.

Winnie&Walter 4th Birthday Bash Blog Hop Celebrating Love and Friendship

Hello and welcome everyone!!! Today is a day to celebrate :) Why??? Winnie & Walter is turning 4 today AND we are celebrating with a fun hop for you all.

Our theme is "Love and Friendship". I've loved and am lucky to be part of Winnie & Walter from the beginning in some way or the other. They come up with awesome designs with a variety of styles for everyone.

Huge congratulations Shay and here is to celebrating many many more :) I am super honored to have known you.

You should have come here from the sweet and talented Laura Sterckx' blog.

I have two cards for you using some of the new February released products.

Card 1: I used Georgette Border Cutaways to create my front panel. It's really pretty and delicate. Love the dotted detail. I then stamped and colored these cute kittys from Purrfect with Evelin T designs. I then die-cut it using the Purrfect with Evelin T Designs Cutaways. To create the rainbow panel, I used distress oxide inks in various colors. Finally to accent the card, I used the tiny hearts from an older stamp "Sending You with Evelin T designs"

For my 2nd. card, I went into Spring mood....well I can't wait for it now...lol. The awesome blooms from "In Bloom: Ashlee's Rosie Posies with Lydia Evans" are perfect for this look. I really like the sketchy feel of these images and the scripty font of the sentiment. I simply stamped the images and colored them in loose watercolor effect for an airy feel. I then stamped and embossed the sentiment onto vellum. Die-cut it using "In Bloom: Ashlee's Rosie Posies with Lydia Evans Cutaways". I then die-cut the panel using the Essentials: Audrey Cutaways.

Prizes: There will be 4 winners picked at random from the entire blog hop which will each receive $40 credit to the w&w shop. So all you have to do is comment on each stop at the hop :). The deadline for leaving comments for the giveaway would be through the end of the month: February 28th 11:59 p.m. CST.

Next stop on the hop is wonderful and talented Taheerah Atchia

Pinkfresh Studio January Stamp & Die Release Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Pinkfresh Studio January Stamp & Die Release Blog Hop.

Love love love this release as it has stamps and dies to create for every occasion and style. I am sure everyone will find something which they really love. You might have come here from the wonderfully talented Elena Roussakis's blog.

Card 1
I used "Fleur 2" stamp and Fleur 2 dies to create this card. It has so many pretty florals and leaves. I simply stamped and colored them using zig clean color real brush markers. I die-cut some of the images using co ordinating dies and used 3D foam to give dimension to my card. The sentiment is from the   "Word Series: Believe"

Here is a close-up for all the dimensional look :)

Card 2
There are some stand alone dies in this release too. I used the dainty flower frame from "Floral Squares" and combined it with some fun small stamps from "Tealightful Day, Itty Bitty Elements" stamp sets. The sentiment is from the  "Word Series: Thanks"

For my last card I used stamps from "Fleur 1, Bloom and Grow and Word Series: Thanks" stamp sets. There are so many possibilities to use these stamps. I just decided to create a fun copic colored background. I stamped and embossed the sentiment onto vellum. Love how it turned out.
