Altenew’s A Year In Review Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to this special "A Year In Review Blog Hop" by Altenew. As the title already suggests, we're going to review the past year and showcase some of our favorite projects.
I absolutely love the products from Altenew! Especially the flowers are amazing :)
This is going to be a long post so get a cup of steaming coffee and enjoy!! You should have come here from the super talented Therese Calvird's Blog.

Here are a few of my favorite cards:

I used Altenew Vintage Flowers and Label Love stamp set to create this card. First, I stamped and embossed the flowers using white embossing powder. Then I added distress ink. The embossed flowers resist the ink, which really looks so pretty in real life.

For my 2nd. and 3rd. card, I used the same stamp "Winter Cottage" and used it in 2 ways. I love how different the cards look.
For this card, I sponged the cardbase from top using 3 colors of distress inks and flicked some gold ink to it. I then embossed the image using gold embossing powder and applied some chalk pastels to add color. I stamped this beautiful sentiment using Navy ink and love how the card turned out.

For the card below,  I simply stamped the image using Smokey Grey ink. Added a touch of  watercolor. I adhered this panel to the cardbase. I then cut a piece of linen cardstock and framed the image using 3D foam.

Oh, I love these pretty butterflies fluttering by  from the "Wild Hibiscus" stamp set. Once again, I used Distress inks for the background. The wax paper technique yielded the wonderful texture. To finish off, I embossed the butterflies onto vellum and did some fussy cutting. To finish, I applied some Wink of Stella for some shine.

This last card was total fun to create. I have a video for you too. For this card, I used the "Wild Hibiscus and Label Love" stamp set once again :)
