Apassion for papertrey.....

Its official now....more and more I look at the papertrey products my liking for them grow stronger. Anyhow the challenge is favorite color and since I am a new stamper, I dont own much and I just have 2 sheets each of 5 colors from papertrey and ofcoarse brown. So I am saving those special colors for other future challenges...lol. I am in love with the chocolate brown. While making a card for another challenge, I thought this would look good with my yummy choco....so here is what I created. Hope you all like it.

The kissing technique gives great batik effect...bit better in the closeup.
(Chocolate brown, vintage cream papers and rhinestones are from PTI, Stamps Hero arts, distress inks fired brick and spices marmalade)

CAS- tastic

So here I am, trying my hand at the one layer card with my new Starbrust HA stamp. Since I got it now and its been out for so long, I was wondering what way can I use it, so it looks a bit different. Here is what I came up with and its perfect for this challenge at CAS -tastic. I hope the dt likes it.

I distressed the bg with fired brick and spiced marmalade distress ink using the mask. Then kissed it with starbrust stamp spritz with water. I then removed the mask and embossed the border with gold ep. Hope you like it.

I just love this batik effect this stamp gives. I hope you are able to see that in the closeup.TFL.

Polka dots

I made this card for the current challenge at PDCC.

I just love the combination  and I came up with this for a friends B'day.

I stamped Old letter writing on yellow card. Embossed polka dots with white ep on pink paper. Stitched them together with zigzag stitch and stuck this on white card.

Now for my center flower, I embossed this on vellum with bronze ep. 3 times, cut it to different sizes and layered it using 3d foam. I colored the smallest flower in pink. For the leaf, stamped with green, clear embossed it and colored it with green. Hope the closeup is good for the details.
I also came across this challenge and my card fits here perfectly too.

I am happy because.....

I am so happy today as my card has been chosen for coffee in the cream at PDCC (challenge 29). You can see my name here, just scroll a bit down there.

Now another thing I am happy about is this wonderful, cheery card I got from Agata. I just love it, the colors, ribbon, fimo button. On top of it she sent me 2 Stamps out of which, one I was longing for...Silhouette bells from HA. I just love their stamps. Thanks Agata.

2 Challenges....

I made this card for the sketch challenge here at Card Patterns and a passion for Papertrey challenge here, as I love brown. This stamp is given to me today and I couldnt wait.

And here is my take on it:

Supplies: Brown and Berry sorbet paper(papertrey), Ranger distress n Papertrey inks, stamps Hero arts
I first did the BG with distressed technique. Stamped the screen shadow HA stamp with versamark on a white paper. Let it dry and distressed it with some distress ink. Then I spritzt it with some pearl water. Hope you can see some shine in the closeup as it look real cool in real life. Then I clear embossed my Silhouette bells and then colored the flowers and leaves with water color. Brown paper at the back is clear embossed using the florishes stamp and the border using the scalloped borders from HA.

Sorry for the bad picture. Its rainy today. Will change the pictures when the weather gets a bit better. TFL.

Brown and...2 Challenges

Well here is a card I made for This challenge. I liked the title Brown and ...., so I took my favorite brown and vintage cream Paper from papertrey. Stamped Old letter writting on cream with some Antique linen distress ink and then distressed the edges with the same color. Next I embossed Starbrust stamp fro HA with clear embossing pad and dis the embossing with some red ep. Then I stamped the image again on another paper with pure poppy ink and cut the circle, adhered it to the embossed image with 3d pads. Put the cream paper to brown with 3d pads and brown to a cream card. I also used some chocolate brown ribbon to give the finishing touch....mmmm...yummy.

Supplies: Chocolate brown and vintage creampaper,Poppy red ink, brown satin ribbon( Papertrey ), HA stamps starbrust and old letter writing, Distress ink Antique linen
Here is a closeup to see the 3d effect of the center.
I also am posting this card for The Passion for Papertrey challenge here It's so very difficult to pick one color but this brown is too yummy and I can add all the yum (all the favorite) colors with it without any problem...lol. Hope I get time to play along this challenge more. Anyhow this is my first post there and I hope the DT like my card.

In time....

I had this image in my mind as soon as I saw these different color combo and challenge here at Playdatecafe.I have to say I forgot all about it as my daughter was down with fever and wouldnt let me make cards....but suddenly I remembered the day and kept hoping that I am not late....so I checked the entry date and started the journey of my VISION.
Here are the challenge colors.

...and here is what I came up with
I started with taking a white card and distressing it with some distress inks. I then used the kissing technique, I saw a while back from Jennifer Mcguire video. Used a stamp from Inkadinkado. Love the effect it gave to the distressed background. I then embossed the HA butterfly from Antique engraving set( love it) with crystal Black ep. Cut it around the edges and stuck it in a 3D way. Sentiment is again from HA.

These are the closeups of my butterfly. Hope you like this card made in a hurry from the imaginary image in my head...lol.

The second card is also distressed in the same way as the first and then I took my favorite Old letter writting HA stamp and stamped parts of my BG with Broken china and Peeled paint distress inks. I also used the screen shadow HA stamp the same way, stamped in parts. My focal point is cut with white paper, edged with pale blue pigment ink and shaped in a flower. In the center I put a green button and put some stickles on it to give a touch of blue/green glimmer. The birds and the butterfly are again from HA stamp set Antique engravings and the sentiment is HA too.

Here is a closeup of my flower

Hope you like my cards and TFL.Please leave comment, if you like them.

For ....

Made this card for my father. His B'day is coming soon.
This is the card I made for a friend, well got the message that she got it, so I can post it now. I love butterflies and I put some glossy accent on the middle Butterfly, so it looks a bit popped up.

Hope I get some time today, cos I have to do some garden work too and weather seems good after 2 weeks of rain.
See you all soon.....

OLW 4 (2 cards)

This week I gave a try to this new challenge at Susan Raihala's blog. This week the challenge is to use Ribbons, so here is my first card
I made 4 holes in the center and pot the thin ribbon and made knots, like the effect. I stamped the flower and leaf from HA stamps on vintage cream card and gave a light water color effect.
Here you can see what I mean with 4 holes in the center.

For this second card I made this tiny flower on the cute girls hairband with a thin ribbon. I found the tutorial at youtube. I colored it with Copics and absolutely love them. Actually my second try with them.

Here you can see the closeup. Hope you will like what I created. TFL and leave your comments as to what you think.
Off to the kitchen now, as kids would be hungry in a while......
I have some more ideas running thru my head, so hopefully will get some time to play around...lol.
