Embossing!! Simon Says Stamp Flickr Challenge Guest Designer

Hello crafty friends!!!
So excited and honored to be a guest over at Simon Says Stamp Flickr Challenge 98 sponsored by Simon Says StampThe theme is "Embossing". Thank you Barb and SSS for having me over :)
I love Simon's gorgeous products and they are so versatile too. I don't know about you but I like to stretch my supplies whenever I can so when I got the theme, I decided to work with techniques and stretch my products. I took out some of the new and old products and started creating. Here is how below:

Card 1
I used the Heart Stream die here and instead of using it for die-cutting, I embossed using it. I then used the back side of this embossed impression piece. Love the raised effect. I then die-cut the hearts from the Holiday Shapes die. It's amazing how it fits perfectly inside the Heart Stream die. I used Zig Clean color brush markers to add color to the hearts in a rainbow color order. Adhered them inside the raised parts. To finish I die-cut the sentiment from gold mirror cardstock using the Happy Birthday die. A clean and simple card, perfect for a birthday :)

Card 2

For this card, I used one of my favorite SSS stencil and rather than using it as a stencil, I used it for dry embossing. It gives a subtle raised effect, you can see it in the close up better. Here are the products I used for my card.Stamp: Cloudy Sky's, Tilted Banner Sayings; Die: Picture Book Lion, You word die, Clouds; Stencil: Mosaic Heart Stencil

I embossed using the stencil and then applied some distress oxide inks to it. (check for the colors HERE, HERE and HERE) I then die-cut the Picture Book Lion image (Oh! love them all), sponged various distress inks. Now for the grass, I went a bit creative. I didn't have any of the SSS hills or grass so I used the cloud stamp and dies to create the grassy bushes :) AND that is what I meant by versatile... aren't these products versatile?

check out the embossed detail using the stencil :)

Card 3

Now for this card I used dies for embossing as well as traditional embossing using watermark ink and embossing powder.
I used:
For the coloring I used the Zig Clean color brush markers and some distress oxide inks for the background.

And now it's your turn to create! Check out the rules and prizes at Simon Says Stamp Flickr Challenge 98. Looking forward to see your creations :) Have a happy crafty weekend!!

Spellbinders Die D-LITES: Guest

Hello crafty people :-)
Today is a special post as Yana Smakula from Spellbinders asked me if I wanted a surprise packet with two dies and I said YES!!! :)
So I got these fun Spellbinders Die D-LITES and had a blast creating

So the first card is a fun masculine card. Of-coarse it can be used for pretty girlie card....maybe I will create something for my next post. I used the Die D-LITES Tractors Etched Dies for this. Now  What's special about these dies is that once you die-cut it, you can let the die-cut piece in the die and then emboss the details of the dies. It looks really cool in real.

Here is a closeup for the details

For my next 2 cards I used the DIE D-LITES Build A Terrarium Etched Dies. Here I want to share how versatile dies can be. I created a CAS mixed media card and then using the same dies, created a layered card using patterned papers.

For this card I used some distress inks for the background and Nuvo mousse and a stencil for the background detail. I then die-cut the pieces from Neenah white cardstock and colored in using zig clean color real brush markers. Looks FUN isn't it :)

For my next card I used some patterned papers from Pinkfresh Studio. I then layered them. Then I die-cut the images and colored in using the copic markers. I then assembled everything together.

Thank you so much Yana and Spellbinders for asking me!!

Pinkfresh Studio Card Inspiration

Hello  crafty people!! Today I am on the Pinkfresh Studio blog, sharing a few cards using the stamp sets which come with the scrapbook collections. They are really fun to create with and can easily be used to create technique bases cards while using some of the elements from the kit itself or can be mix and match with other stamp and dies.

Card 1

For this card I used the Be You collection kit and the stamp. I created my own background using pan pastels and the stamp from the kit.

I then used the Ephemera pack from the same collection to create the fun sentiment cluster.

Card 2

I used the stamp from Let Your Heart Decide collection and created the background by stamping the leaves in a random order. I then used glitter embossing powder and embossed them randomly.

I then combined it with the LOVE with Botanicals die from the new release. I stamped and heat embossed the Butterfly from the Bloom and Grow stamp set and adhered it to the panel as an accent.

Card 3

Here again I used the stamp from Let Your Heart Decide collection. I created this fun faux watercolor panel using the flowers and leaves.

I then used the newly released LOVE with Botanicals die to create the sentiment.

Hope you got inspired and had fun! Tell me what you think about the stamp sets that come with the kits? Do you use them for cards or scrapbooking or both :) Thanks for dropping by :)

Hello and welcome! Today I am super honored to join Pinkfresh Studio in the Layton's Legacy Card Drive & Fundraiser Blog Hop. This is such a special hop and a wonderful cause.

It's organized by Lea Lawson, who unfortunately had to go through all the pain. You can read all about it on her blog.
But as Lea says: together we can accomplish SO much more! Plus - we are making it fun! We have a huge Card Drive blog hop going on in Layton's honor, with tons of amazing inspiration! We also have a fundraising effort, where every $5 donated gets you an entry into the prize drawing. There are over $2000 in prizes, sponsored by some of the most amazing stamping & papercrafting companies in the industry! {You can also see all the prizes HERE.}

There are lots of ways you can help! Read all the info on Lea's blog HERE.

BLOG HOP

Not only is this a fundraiser, but also a super inspiring blog hop with MANY stops along the way! As you hop along, you will see amazing cards created with a very special theme. Lea created this moodboard inspired by Layton's nursery.

Here is my take on the theme using Pinkfresh Studio stamps and dies.

My 1st card is CAS all white for a calm feel. I added some gold as an accent from the moodboard colors. I used Word series: Believe stamp set and various dies from Fleur 1 and Fleur 2 Dies.

Foe my next card I used stamps from Playful Animal Friends 2, butterfly is from the Playful Animal Friends 1Word series: Believe and the flower from Fleur 2 stamp set.

For my last card I used the Playful Animal Friends 1Word series: BelieveFleur 2  and Always Flowers stamp sets.

Here is a link list with all of the stops along the hop! Please be sure to leave some love for the thoughtfulness & generosity that these companies, stores & designers have shown for this Card Drive & Fundraising effort. This wouldn't have been possible without them, and we are so grateful & thankful.

Have an amazing rest of your day!

Altenew Build a Flower Morning Glory Release + Giveaway - Guest Designer

Hello and welcome everyone! I'm super delighted this morning to be a guest designer for the latest addition to Altenew's popular monthly Build a Flower release - this month featuring the beautiful Morning Glory.
In addition to giveaways featured on the Altenew Card Blog and Altenew Scrapbook Blog, Altenew has provided a separate giveaway for one of my readers, yay! :)

Now a little bit info about this beautiful set:

The Build-A-Flower: Morning Glory set includes 1 6x8 stamp set (21 stamp images) and 1coordinating die set (3 dies).
This set contains two beautiful multi-layered morning glories along with leaves and vines. Morning glories produce typical funnel-shaped blossoms in white, red, blue, purple, and yellow. You may stamp these flowers in any of the Altenew ink colors to get great results! It comes in the Morning Glory Bundle with inks as well.

This special product is only sold as a set, not individually.

Today, I've got 3 cards to share with you all.
For the first card, I only used the second layer of the flower to stamp. For more details on the three focal flowers, I used my Polychromos color pencils to add depth and a bit of a pop. I used Altenew ink in Peach Perfect, Coral Berry, Minty Mint and Hunter Green along with some other inks.

For the second card, I went for more of a bold and graphic look using watercolors. This time, I only used the outline layer stamps. Adding some Prima watercolors afterwards, I love how this loose coloring effect turned out.

For my last card, I used all the stamp layers and went for a no-line water color effect. After coloring, I die-cut the images using the coordinating dies and adhered it to my base layer. In combination with the watercolor background, I love the artsy feel of this card. I also used the Creative Edges: Lace die for this card.

Prizes:

To celebrate this release, Altenew is giving away a $30 gift certificate to six lucky winners! Please leave a comment on the Altenew Card Blog and/or Altenew Scrapbook Blog for a chance to win. Three winners will be announced on the Card Blog, and other three winners will be announced on the Scrapbook Blog on 5/6/2018.

In addition: I will be choosing a winner from comments left on my blog to win a $20 gift certificate to Altenew! Winner will be announced on my blog on the 5th May 2018

Thanks for dropping by!
