Hero Arts Sketch

Hello my friends, hope you all are busy with whatever you like doing:) I just want to share a card I made for the currant Hero Arts sketch challenge. I was itching to play with my new stamp from the win but somehow these weeks before the Summer break is just flying by.

I used the Top left sketch and turned it at 90° clockwise...I used the Sun for the Big Orange square on the right and the Trees in between the row of Houses for the vertical columns. The Blue column is the big house with birds flying over it:) I used some Washi tape sent to me by my very sweet friend Janet from the Hero Arts flickr group. Thanks a ton Janet. You are one of the sweetest.

I used some glossy accent on the windows and the doors of the houses.

I mased and used the new Spring distress ink in Lemonade for the Sun. Its such a nice soft color. For the rays I did some hand stitching.

Hope you like what I created. Thanks for dropping by. I wont be quite regular for about a week as lots happening here at my daughters school. Do stop by as I have a few exciting happenings too...wink...wink

The theme this week is...

So, have fun playing with your color splash and don't forget to link your creation at the Lawnscaping Blog!

For a change, I created a wall-hanging instead of a regular card. I chose yellow as my color splash.  I decided to use one of my all time favorites stamp -  Critters of the Farm :) The background is embossed using my Cuttlebug and the rays are colored with Chalks.

Here are the closeups for the details:

It is in my daughter's room and she absolutely loves it! Glad that I could make her so happy... :)

Love Life...

I just love this sentiment. Two simple words just say it all. Today I watched a programs on one of the Indian Chanel...its a talk show and it was all about handicapped/disabled people and their bravery to deal with day to day life. It made me think we really should love life as it is beautiful:)

I am submitting my card for the following challenges, pls. click on the photo for a better view:
For one of my favorite blog, Lawnscaping Challenge blog: Its all about pattern Paper. I did a lot of paperpiecing and fussy cutting. I also embossed over the pattern paper with my cuttle bug, and it gives such a pretty effect.
I used the sketch from The SSD challenge blog: I like it very much.
Challenge at Vicky's blog: I am linking all my supplies using the wonderful Inlinkz tool. Superb tool, I am having fun with it...lol.

For my card I cut a white panel and adhered some Pattern paper strips to it. I then embossed it all. For the center image I just fussy cut and paper pieced all the elements using the same Lawn Fawn bright side PP.

Its your Birthday

Happy Monday Peeps!!! Hope you all had a wonderful weekend. I had a nice one with lots of Laundry and cleaning....AND I could also make a few cards....nothing can be better than that...lol.

I made this card for the sketch challenge at The SSD blog. I have been thinking about it for some time now but somehow always would forget to post on time. I love Polka dots and actually my elder daughter is a die hard FAN of Polka dots...lol. So this is an entry to one of my favorite challenge blogs: Cas-ual Fridays Challenge blog.

For my card, I stamped the image using second generation stamping technique and then colored over it with color pencils.

All the supplies are available at the Scraphouse shop, which I will link below. Just to remind the Bingo Challenge is still up...drop by and play along.

Talking about, linking, did you check the Link Manager tool by InLinkz? It's a great tool by Vicky and her husband. It makes linking the supplies so much easier and fun! Vicky is having a fun challenge at her blog.
