So today, I'd like to share a project featuring few of my favorite products from Faber-Castell - Gelatos®  and Stamper's Big Brush Pens. This fun image I used is from Penny Black as soon as my daughter saw it, she asked me to make a mermaid for her. So I tried to give a effect as if a mermaid is coming out of water....lol . Here is my mixed media Canvas and some quick steps to show you how I created it!

Here's a photo of the finished project:

This is how I created it:

I applied Gesso to the canvas and let it dry. Now I visually marked the area to make a frame around my image. Then, I rubbed Gelatos® all over it and blended it using my fingers.

Once, I was happy with the effect, I just applied a bit of gesso to soften it. Apply some more Gelatos®  where you want. Now I applied some Gelatos® on the frame area, blended it.

I then, masked the center part and stamped the Hair part of the image repeatedly using black Big Brush Marker onto the frame.

I then stamped the images on tissue paper using Black Big Brush Marker.

The I applied some Gel medium to the canvas and adhered the stamped images.

Once dry, I colored in using Big Brush Markers.

For the depth around the frame, I applied some brown Big Brush Marker and blended using my finger. These markers blend beautifully over Gelatos®
Lastly to finish, I just applied a bit of Golden ink from my inkpad.

AND!!! The finished canvas is ready to be decorated in my daughter's wall. Hope you give some of these products and techniques a try :)

Since I had my distress inks out, I created this CAS one layered card using some Hero Arts stamps. The inspiration comes from the Tuesday Trigger  photo at Moxie Fab World :) I love the soft florals, crisp white open space.

For my card, I stamped it using distress inks and just gave a washed soft look and some splatters!

I am submitting it for the following challenges too:

Cardstock: (Watercolor) Canson; Stamps: (Flower Sketch, Frame and Feathers) Hero Arts; Inks; (Black Archival, Distress inks) Ranger Industries

Hope your day is Awesome

Hello All!! So today was kind of a productive day for me. I saw a few challenges which really gave me a start :), I could create a few cards.

First up is a card, I created this card for the Tuesday Trigger at Moxie Fab World (I was inspired by the curves, flowers, ceramic. I tried to give the ceramic look to the pot) Now there is another photo which inspired me to use these specific flowers. That is the Runway inspired Challenge photo. I was inspired by the bunch of tiny flowers blending into each other, the colors and that tiny touch of pink on the top of her dress.

I used some stamps by Art Impression watercolor line and stamped using distress inks.

Love these stamps, so easy to work with and the result is awesome!

Supplies:
Cardstock: Bazzill Card shoppe, (watercolor paper) Canson; Stamps:  (WC project series 9, Flower set, Foliage set) Art Impression, (Tilted Banner sayings) Simon Says Stamp; Dies: (Tilted Banner sayings) Simon Says Stamp; Inks: (Distress inks) Ranger Industries

Happy Birthday!

Hello All!!
Hope you enjoyed my tutorial at the Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft blog, if not do check HERE.

Today, I am playing along the birthday celebration at Neat and Tangled (Little Tangles) and also 10 minutes Craft Dash (my card took 9 minutes 55 sec.! ) I quickly colored the cute cupcake, clear embossed the bottom part using holographic embossing powder, on the top I applied some clear glitter.I didn't have much time to let the color flicks dry but I like the mix effect. Isn't it fun.
Huge congratulations Danielle!!

Card using Gelato and Stamper’s Big Brush Pen

Hello Everyone!!! Today it's my turn to create and post at Faber-Castell Design Memory blog. I created a Card using Gelato and Stamper’s Big Brush Pen.

Here is a peek of my creation and if you would like to see how I created it, just check Here.

Here is how I created it!

First, I scribbled some Gelatos® onto the craft sheet and misted some water. Then, I put a watercolor paper onto the color and pressed it. Now, let it dry.

This is how it will look.

Now, I just stamped the woodgrain background stamp using a Stamper’s Big Brush Pen onto this piece. After applying the ink, I took a baby wipe and removed some of the ink from here and there.

This is how it looks after stamping. You can see where I removed the ink.

I then scribbled some green Gelatos®, misted with water and colored the leaf die cut.

Finally, I inked the flower using Stamper’s Big Brush Pen, huffed it 3 times before stamping. If you huff more than once, it gives a nice watercolor look.

To finish off, I just stamped the sentiment using the black Big Brush Pen.

I hope I could inspire you to mix and match of whatever products you have at hand.

Supplies:

Gelatos® (Cotton Candy, Aqua Dolce, Banana)
Stamper’s Big Brush Pen (Cobalt Turquoise, Scarlet Red, Naples Ochre )

Simply The Best

Hello All!!! So happy to get to my craft desk again...lol. Sharing here a card with you all, which I got inspired by the Runway Inspired challenge. Added motivation, one of my favorite company is sponsoring this time Penny Black. Love the stamps.

Here is the inspired by photo:

Isn't this unusual and amazing, luxurious shimmer :) So mesmerized by this I used pearl cardstock. I wanted to play with colors but didn't wanted to create the usual background or color an image....WHY??? cos this dress is unusual :) so I created these splashes of colors using Twinkling H2O. Love the effect. I used the sentiment by Penny Black.

Dont forget to join the hop and the challenge we have tomorrow as we are going to celebrate
Lil' Inker Designs 3rd. Birthday!!!
