RG: Journey!!!

Hello Everyone! Today, I am sharing a fun layout using the RG Days collection by Richard Garay. I also used some products by Fun Stampers journey.
I love this collection as it makes it easy to create all those masculine projects so easy and I can also create some fun and whimsical projects :)

I made this layout for hubby as this was such a wonderful trip and as soon as he saw this Sherlock statue, he couldn't stop smiling...lol

Here are some steps to create this:

Cut some stripes using various patterned papers and adhere them onto a white stripe.
Stamp the brush stroke and the postage stamp images and flick some silver silk. Let dry.
Die-cut the word Journey, put it onto the ink pad top side down and press using your fingers. This gives a nice texture and color to the plain white word.
Die-cut the word once more using black cardstock and adhere it a bit offset behind the white word for a shadow effect.
Stamp the bow tie onto colored cardstock and die-cut.
cut a black glitter washi and adhere the bows onto the layout.

RG: You're a Star

Hello Everyone! Today, I am sharing a fun mixed media card using the Origami Love collection by Richard Garay. I also used some products by Fun Stampers journey.
I love these Origami designs and they are a HOT trend in fashion now :) I decided to create a galaxy background for these fun Star images. Perfect way to make your loved one feel special.

Here are some steps to create this:

Take the color splash sheet and secure it onto a craft board using masking tape. This prevents the watercolor paper from warping when we add water to it.
Apply the color splash using water and brush.
Once dry, apply some black watercolor over this panel (My photo didn't come out fine for this step). Let it dry.
Take a tiny bit of Journey Gesso, apply a little water to it and flick some onto this layer to create all the tiny stars.
Stamp the star images using clear pigment ink and emboss using white embossing powder.
Color the images using color splash, mixed with water. Die-cut.

Stamp and emboss the sentiment onto the vellum.
Assemble everything together.

RG: Mother's day Frame Art

***Please click HERE for the SugarPea Designs Hop***

Hello Everyone,Mother's day is just round the corner. I created this Mixed Media frame art using the new Silver and Gold and Make Amazing Happen collection by Richard Garay. I also used some products by Fun Stampers journey.
I love these flowers from the Make Amazing Happen and decided to color them with the FSJ Color Burst pure color pencil using the no-line coloring technique.

Here are some steps to create this:

Apply Gesso to the watercolor paper panel.
Apply inks using the stencil.
Add some yellow color using the color splash as watercolor. Flick some silk for added texture.
Add modelling paste through the stencil and let it dry.
Stamp flowers and leaves, color using the pencil colors.
Die-cut all the elements and adhere to the frame.

Here is a close-up to see the pencil colored florals and leaves and all the texture.
